Tess den Uyl has been working for VicarVision as a research consultant and project manager since 2016. VicarVision develops FaceReader, the premier product for automatically evaluating emotional expressions in the human face. The technology is widely used for psychological research but also applied in projects related to health and robotics. Tess den Uyl is a cognitive neuroscientist trained at the University of Amsterdam with a PhD in Psychology. Her interest and expertise are in topics related to implicit measurements, emotions, mental health and innovative technologies. She coordinates research projects on webcam-based eye-tracking and expression analysis for health robots. She is also a lecturer in Psychobiology at the University of Amsterdam.
