Sami has 15 years of NHS and private digital health experience spanning primary care commissioning, digital transformation, PHE and DH Programme Management alongside high-growth health tech leadership.  He has developed a well-rounded perspective on innovation as a health commissioner, policy analyst and private provider of innovation.

He is a recognised leader within the UK digital health sector having led national digital campaigns at PHE and the Department of Health supporting millions of patients across the UK including as the Senior Officer for the PHE Start4Life digital campaign. He is an experienced digital health public speaker delivering keynotes in the UK and internationally and has provided independent evaluation of policy papers.

Prior to this, Sami was the Primary Care Transformation Lead at South West London Health and Care Partnership (SWL STP), an NHS body that oversees the health and care of 1.6 million patients in London. Within his role at SWL, Sami was particularly interested in digital transformation and the routes to accessing health services across primary and urgent care. He wrote the ‘Digital First Healthcare Plan’ and delivered a regional pilot – this paper and resulting pilot was the blueprint for what has now become a national body of work in the NHS.

Sami is now the Director of Strategic Development and Partnership at Feebris, a mobile-based software platform, powered by AI, that helps users detect and monitor complex health conditions, and was previously the Director of NHS Services for Doctorlink, a Primary and Secondary Care Digital platform which provides intelligent triaging clinical software.

Outside of healthcare, Sami provides strategic support to several voluntary sector organisations and was the founding chairman of the London based food poverty charity Sufra NW London, a charity that now supports over 20,000 vulnerable people a year.
