Dr Prenika Anand is Senior Research Fellow in Healthy Ageing with the Samuel Centre for Social Connectedness, and has been Leslie Kirkley Visitor at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing. She has an MSc in Applied Digital Health from the University of Oxford, a Master in Health Administration from Tata Institute of Social Sciences and a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery. Prenika has ten years of product management and consulting experience in digital health ecosystems for preventive health, remote monitoring, nutrition, fitness, mental health and workplace well-being. She was responsible for designing and managing first of their kind digital wellbeing solutions based on economic incentives and behavioural economics in India. Her research interests include digital health innovation and its design, evidence, and governance for older adults. Her current research explores loneliness and social isolation of older adults and the role of inclusive technologies in improving social connectedness and access to healthcare.
